We are looking for a new, enthusiastic and outgoing, part-time team member who would like to join us at The Little Wooden Peg.
You will mainly be responsible for driving sales through engaging with our lovely customers, answering sales queries, ensuring the shop floor and displays are kept at their best at all times and creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere in the store. And, of course, wrapping pretty packages!
A keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills and an enthusiastic appreciation for sustainable product and childrenswear is a must.
Requirements
- Retail experience
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated and conscientious
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must be available to work Fridays and Saturdays weekly
Responsibilities
- Engaging with customers in a polite, informed and friendly manner
- Offering customers product information and assisting them in finding the perfect items
- Opening & closing the shop
- Working with cash registers and processing payments
- Maintaining a clean, organised and visually appealing shop floor, including restocking shelves, arranging displays and ensuring product areas are kept neat and tidy.
- Receiving and processing incoming deliveries
- Supporting our online store through fulfilling online orders and local pickups
- Assisting with stock taking
- Being a passionate ambassador for The Little Wooden Peg, it’s ethos and products in both your behaviour and outlook at all times
